Air Berlin is wrapping up operations - it has been a long, strange road for the once U.S. airline, and an Air Berlin pilot took it upon themselves to give the airline a proper sendoff as they completed the last flight from the States.

Here’s to hoping the pilot will probably just get some slap on the wrist ironically funny German punishment. Like being forced to drive a Kia for three years.

Agreed!! That’s all he deserves anyways- - and (without jinxing it, they have 11 days left), Air Berlin has a perfect safety record over their 39 year history, I believe.

Not sure, but given Air Berlin’s load factors as of late, the handful of passengers might have been ok with it.
